Brabant Tour, Holland.

Isabel & John decided to organise a tour for a 'small' group of Panthers! Little did they realise that their expected '5 or 6' cars would grow to a meeting of 25 Panthers!! However they pulled out all the stops & arranged a great time for all those that came. 12 people were staying in local hotels & got together on the Friday evening for a meal in a local restaurant. The rest of the group all came on Saturday without the need to stay overnight. Mostly the Panthers came from Holland with 3 or 4 from Germany & 1 from the UK.

PECUK Club members present at the Rally were -

Bodo Möhrke , Roland Klause, Theo Preenen, Willem & Very Kikkert, Jan & Phill VanStraaten & George & Shelagh.

Theo kindly gave a Rally Plaque to everyone in attendance.

Firstly I introduce Isabel & John, the announcements were made by John in the native tongue & Isabel had the job of translating in to German & English!!! Here she is in 'pensive' mode working it out!!!

Excellent service & we are pleased & impressed to get to know what is going on without having to blindly guess at everything!

Our accommodation consisted of a self contained chalet in the grounds. Note our own secure off road parking.

Naturally it is not long before I find a friend!!!

Saturday morning and all Panthers congregate at Isabel & John's home.

The local press had previously printed an article about the forthcoming Rally and included the home address, consequently half the village descended to have a look!!

Our arrival point, a sort of beach resort on a lake..

All the Plebs had to park outside, while the privileged few park inside the complex.

That's funny - a big crowd have gathered in the background....

Yes - you spotted it - an Elephant having a bathe!!! Now the trainer wants me to give him (the elephant) my last drop of Cola.

This looks a bit dodgy - he's making a beeline for my car.

I think the trainer is trying to get the Elephant (named Buba) to remove the bonnet mascot.

Still trying!!

Yes - Buba got it & here I am trying to get it back!!

Altogether more sedate, John gets a friendly 'Sniff' from Buba.

He's had enough now and off to be pestered by smaller 'kids'!

The next day Shelagh & I travelled to stay overnight with Uli & Peter, who unfortunately were not able to be at the Rally.

A really nice welcome in the driveway!!
